Welcome to the Felix Dennis Website

Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to send me their kind words, wonderful thoughts and comments. It’s great to know that the works are appreciated and look forward to writing and publishing many many more.

I love your new website...very nicely done :) I love your poetry too...especially Lone Wolf... thanks again for signing your poetry books for me when you were up in Cumbria in 2004... take care.

I stood browsing the poetry section in my local bookstore, read a few poems as one does from the books of poets one hasn't seen before, thought yes this is ok ,a bit la de da and returned Felix to the shelf.

Went about my shopping with the nagging feeling I'd missed something in the bookshop. Before going to the bus went back, picked up Lone Wolf again and read a bit more, being part thrifty, part tightarse thought well sod it you get a dvd and a cd thats bloody good value! So I forced my legs to the counter and paid the cash, money well spent, have since visited this site several times to pass on poems to friends, wit, wisdom, common sense and not too many fancy words. Should be mandatory reading for every elected politician of any party. Many thanks for the read.

I feel the need to say a heartfelt thank you for the most wonderful evening last night in Brighton. You wined us, dined us, and then entertained us with great élan? I am still in shock! I enjoyed the poems immensely, but it was your voice reading them that gave the poems such tremendous "life" and the "legs" to walk deep into my imagination and make a personal connection to my own life experiences.

I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful evening tonight. Your poetry interests me like poetry never has. I will greatly enjoy the book that you gave me.

Mr. Dennis
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of seeing your performance in New York City for the benefit of the Royal Shakespere company. We would just like to thank you for an incredible evening of poetry, wine and food.

The combination of your poetry and Shakespere's was incredible. Rarely have we been so moved by a performance.

I'm reading your book at the moment and have found that taking the time to contemplate each line is a reward in itself. Since you spend so much time constructing them I thought a reciprocal amount of time was due. Again Thank you.
Regards, David Derr, New York
My name is Keara Donahue and I attended this wicked and delightful reading last evening. All adjectives fall shy of justice in describing his appeal. It was a night that I will always remember and a complete tickle. He is a master at his craft and a naturally elegant host with more than a dash of ribald flair for creative expression. I am a fan for life!

Thank you for a wonderful evening! We had a great time at the poetry reading, and my husband and I made quite a few new friends. After hearing him last night, I found Mr. Dennis' poems quite evocative and touching. I didn't previously give Mr. Dennis enough credit...nor did I previously call myself a poetry lover...but I do now!

Dennis's poetry slaps you upside your head and upside your heart! Felix is definitively "twixt ape and Plato" I had a mega-fine time with Felix in San Francisco.

Dear Felix Dennis,
I did as you asked and queued for ages! This is not a complaint as a promising evening turned out to be an outstanding evening. Attendance should be made compulsory to facilitate an outbreak of common sense and general enjoyment. The wine was excellent. In fact well-worth paying for but thanks for your generosity, of spirit as well as the wine.

Dear Mr. Dennis,
I greatly enjoy reading your work (I have just received my copy of Lone Wolf and am devouring it) and am fast spreading the word of your talent. I work with special needs children and your poems have captured them too. (Although obviously not the ones with the swear words, because although few of them speak, it would be my luck that those are the words they would choose to repeat! Ha ha.)

Lone Wolf came this morning, announcing himself with an intriguing thump on the doormat. I was off into Scunny to do some Christmas shopping, then fix the kids a casserole and do the washing. Then I thought "Bollocks, I'm curling up in front of the fire with a glassfull and the book. Brownie Points and Unsung Heroes added a drop of tear salt to the grape I can tell you. But then I'm selfish. The boys got bacon and eggs. Even single Dads need to indulge themselves once in a while. Moving stuff my friend. "What counts, is whether work touches us, amuses us, entertains us or moves us."
